Over the past couple of years, my design team and I have been working on a very cool new software product called iTV Momentum. Fortunately, after quite a bit of hard work, it's just about done (early September for customers). Hopefully, it will be successful enough to allow my team to produce many more products/projects in the future (i.e. RC tools) -- we have lots of fantastic ideas on what to build.
Here's what iTV (information terrain visualizer) Momentum does. It continuously scans everything (!) in social media and uses advanced algorithms to enable you to get in front of rapidly evolving social trends. Or, in other words, it allows you to routinely anticipate the future in any domain of interest you care about.
In order to make some money doing this, we've packaged it as a service for professional customers (marketing pros, campaign managers, public relations representatives, strategic communications pros, investors, hedge funds, etc.). In short, anyone that wants to get ahead of a rapidly evolving global communications system to prevent surprise (black swans), realize opportunity, and mitigate damage (social systems disruption).
I'm more excited about this product than anything I've built in a very long time.
___________
NOTE: Nearly a decade ago, a tech team I led built a global performance monitor (54 cities on 6 continents using 23 different Internet backbones) to continuously test the transaction systems of all of the big global brokers (Merrill Lynch, etc.) and banks (JP Morgan, etc.). In order to refine the development of the product (which recently sold for $295 million), we took on some early customers that had a strong interest in making sure the system was everything they hoped for. It was a great success. I'd like to do the same with this product. So, we're looking for a couple early customers (big firms or organizations) to help us refine the development schedule for subsequent iterations of the product. If you are interested and have the resources to help us exceed expectations, let me know (my e-mail is to the upper right).
