
I participated in a LRAD demonstration yesterday. Very cool non-lethal weapon that may could save lives if deployed. However, the ATC operator thought that it would be funny to "chirp" us. Knocked all of us to our knees even though it was set at a low level. Not fun. It's important to remember that it can be used as a weapon.
It is interesting how new products like this, can't develop any traction in the increasingly insular DoD system. The failure to promote niche product/company development is a sign of failure in our security ecosystem.
