Israeli warplanes in Iraq?
NOTE: The current financial and economic debacle in the US almost guarantees a Republican rout in November. It's do or die on a military "solution" to Iran, for both Israel and the Bush team, during the months of August/September.
Clever move. Gives Israel the access, and the Republican party the cover -- the focus shifts from abuse of a Congressional resolution, to being anti-Israel. Makes it even easier for MoveOn et. al. to be branded as anti-Semitic. Makes Obama look like a flip-flopper for supporting the attack on Iran. And could well pull in an extra hundred mil or more McCain, and perhaps shift the election.
Would Cheney give the green light without Saudi approval? Something to consider is the rather odd interfaith conference in Madrid this week sponsored by King Abdullah. Odd, because interfaith dialogue normally follows tolerance -- and Saudi Arabia may be a uniquely intolerant country at this point in history.
Cheney has probably convinced himself that the attack is already factored into the price of oil.... and Chalabi is probably expected to be crowned Shah...

Do we know how much oil is actually sold in any given month? Is it conceivable that Saud has been slowing sales or stockpiling since March? Would we know whether the "strategic reserve" was being filled?

I wonder when Iraqis will get control over their own air defenses. They have no control now?
Do you really think Iran is a problem?
