I'm still cranking on the new book. It's about how to build a vibrant future through resilient communities and economic darknets.
Fortunately, it's an explosive set of ideas. Unfortunately, it is a slog to get it right.
I'm thinking I need to switch my approach after that. Near term future fiction appears to be more fun, lots more lucrative (contrasting my experience with the success of my friend Dan Suarez), and based on short stories that I've written for myself, much easier to write. Working title for that fictional work is "The DIY War."
One beneficial side effect: I suspect that since fiction is more approachable to a MUCH larger audience, we'll see many more people employ the thinking in the book to real life.
