- Another example that US insurgents are starting to use stigmergic communication: The FBI is warning police across the country that an anti-government group's call to remove governors from office could provoke violence by others. The use of the media to communicate intent and to share innovation with other insurgent groups is a staple of open source insurgency (a feature of the model that a recent quantitative study featured in Nature magazine confirmed).

- Here's an earlier example of stigmergic communication, although not as slick, from Mike at Sipsey Street Irregulars. Break their windows. Break them NOW.
- Drug syndicate gunmen battle the Mexican army after simultaneous attacks in multiple cities. With a little more decentralization and less in fighting, this could get interesting.
- Mafia bustouts as good examples of modern financial capitalism.
- Great video interview with Marcin of "open source ecology" (aka Factor E farm) on their progress constructing an open source kit for farming, building, and manufacturing at the hyper-local level.
- Starving the Monkeys. A video presentation on economic secession making the rounds.
- Taibbi has a new article in the Rolling Stone how JP Morgan looted an Alabama county. How the nation's biggest banks are ripping off American cities with the same predatory deals that brought down Greece. Financial capitalists operate on different rule sets than you or I do. Their morality is market-based.
