The best result is to break up your enemy's network. If you can't do that the next best thing is to slow it down -- introduce distortion and delay.

If your network is separate from that of your enemy, then you can attack theirs without hurting yourself ...and vice versa. BUT, if you both function in the same network, then any attack on the network hurts BOTH parties!
